Megan Berame works as the Communications Director for Everglades Trust and her role includes acting as the organization's social media and marketing specialist. Before joining the Everglades Trust team, Megan worked in in the marketing department at the law firm of Gunster and created social media pathways for a local municipality, helping residents and administration participate in a robust digital space.
Megan is a graduate of the School of Communication and Media at Palm Beach Atlantic University and has been a Florida resident for five years. She is enthusiastic about the important role that social media plays in the battle for America's Everglades by giving a voice to those who are often silenced- residents and citizens, the folks who make this state home.
Prior to moving to Florida, Megan lived in Estes Park, Colorado on the outskirts of Rocky Mountain National Park, where she fostered a love for the outdoors. She is committed to preserving America's wildest places and the livelihoods of the people who rely on them.
Megan aspires to be the kind of person who Teddy Roosevelt described when he spoke about the ‘Man in the Arena’: a person who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause.
She lives with her husband Kent in West Palm Beach.
