NEWS PRESS: Hands Across the Sand hits Cape, FM Beach; 'No substitute for water'

It was only by chance that the Stephens family of Cape Coral went to the local beach Saturday, but it didn't take much persuasion for them to join the cause for cleaner water.

"Hope you join us for clean water," organizer Rose Young yelled, courting the beach-goers for the Hands Across the Sand eco protest.

Dad Andy Stevens with Callie, Chloe and Brady, of Cape Coral, along with Kristin Banga and her daughter, Karington Nobles, of Tampa, had two barbecues later in the day. So they stayed nearby at the Cape Coral Yacht Club beach instead of heading to Bonita Springs.
