why are you sending advertising information for “LIFT” skin product. This is certainly not appropriate nor the reason I added my name to your Everglades Trust email list!

Every day the spotlight shines brighter on those sworn to serve the public interest but, in betrayal, serve only themselves. The people have spoken. Let the will of the people be done : water, clean water, for the Everglades!
Every day people come from all over the world to see. Every day more students learn. My friends, the time is right. let’s keep the pressure on and keep the “River of Grass” flowing .

we really do not have such a large surplus in the state of Florida as gov. Scott would like you to believe. What we really have is a elected official that abuses the law and Shanghai the law so that amendment 1 that was vote for by 75 percent of the voters is being ignored and taken for a joy ride by this governor. THIS GOVERNOR DOES NOT CARE AND I DO MEAN CARE ABOUT WATER QUALITY HE CARES ABOUT WHAT HE IS GOING TO MAKE WHEN HE LEAVES OFFICE,

It is not simply the will of the Florida voters, it is a matter of simple common sense. We as human beings are not able to survive without water. Assuming it is our choice to survive, as well as provide for our children and their children, the Everglades must be protected.

ISN’T IT ABOUT TIME FOR FLORIDA LEGISLATORS TO CHAMPION THE INTERESTS OF ITS CITIZENS, RATHER THAN THE VESTED INTERESTS OF BIG BUSINESS AND THE DESTRUCTIVE SUGAR INDUSTRY? WHAT WILL FLORIDIANS DO WHEN BIG SUGAR HAS TOTALLY DESTROYED THE EVERGLADES, AND THE WATER OF THE BISCAYNE AND FLORIDIAN AQUIFER IS NO LONGER POTABLE? MAYBE THE WIZARD LEGISLATORS AND OUR INCOMPETENT GOVERNOR SCOTT WILL BE SELLING BOTTLED WATER FROM THE BACK OF PICK-UP TRUCKS ON EVERY STREET CORNER?

THIS AMENDMENT WAS PASSED BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO PROTECT OUR LAND FROM DEVELOPMENT THAT WILL CHOKE THE EVERGLADES WHICH IS ONE OF THE MAIN SOURCE FOR OUR TOURIST DOLLARS AND FOR WATER THAT FEEDS THE FLORIDA GULF, IT IS BEING TAKEN OFF THIS COURSE BY THE SAME PEOPLE THAT WISHED NOT TO PASS IT AND BY THE SAME INDUSTRY. THIS LAND THAT WE HAVE AN AGREEMENT TO BUY IS SET TO BE DEVELOPED BY THESE INDUSTRIES AND WILL THEN BE TOO EXPENSIVE TO OBTAIN. DO WHATS RIGHT. AND WHAT THE PEOPLE OF FLORIDA ASKED FOR.

I just learned in: “Truth is a Lonely Warrior” by James Perloff that the Spanish-American War was waged because the Rockefellers wanted the Cuban sugar industry. The war was waged and they got Cuba’s sugar industry.

Only a powerful family could use taxpayer money to make the Everglades farmland for sugar. Politicians at all levels of government will only do what their financial benefactors tell them to do as opposed to what should be done on behalf of the people. It’s all about money.

We voted on this and the PEOPLE have spoken. Now it’s time for the politicians to step up to the plate and do their job…..represent the people~!! Thank you Dr. John Dwyer for the descriptive picture of an older more healthy Florida. Being that it’s Earth Day I hope more people act on this important issue~!!

Don’t give up, we have to continue to fight for this cause and fight to keep fracking out of Florida, we are the sink hole capital of the world, the destruction of the Everglades and massive sink holes will destroy our quality of life. Never, never give up.
