Bob Buesing (D) FL Senate District 18
Bob Buesing has dedicated much of his life to improving the lives of others. Buesing believes that our beaches and waterways should be treated better than they are currently and should not be used as disposal areas for big business. He recognizes that the state government continues to fight federal clean water standards and blocked the land-purchase plan that could have helped prevent the current problem. Instead of following the mandate set by voters to acquire lands for environmental conservation purposes, the Legislature did not use those funds for the given issues of water care and restoration. Now the consequences of these actions are effecting the many businesses and living conditions for citizens in South Florida. Thus, the green algae blooms on Florida’s Treasure Coast are the result of pollutants flowing into the waters east and west from Lake Okeechobee. He is a strong supporter of Senator Negron’s proposed plan to buy 60,000 acres in the Everglades Agricultural Area. Buesing knows that the State of Florida needs legislators who care about our environment and will ensure the protection and restoration of Florida’s water and America’s Everglades. Bob Buesing is a proud signer of the Now Or Neverglades Declaration. Like us, Bob Buesing knows it’s #NowOrNeverglades. For more information, visit Bob Buesing’s website at buesingforsenate.com.
